GE: Incandescent 2850K A21 200W
GE Incandescent 2850K A21 200W light bulb test results
The verdict
A 2927K incandescent A21 bulb, now discontinued. Its color rendering is excellent (CRI 98, R9 94) and its body-clock signal is moderate (50% of daylight).
One of the most accurate bulbs I have tested. A strong pick wherever color matters: kitchens, bathrooms, vanities and art. It is no longer sold.
CRI 98 · Rf 98
CRI Re, the average of all 15 samples (Ra 99). #7 of 84 white-light bulbs.
R9 94
Saturated red: skin, wood, food. 100 is perfect. #21 of 86 white-light bulbs.
2927K
Sold as 2850K. Gap from natural light 3% (very close). Tint +0.0019, close to neutral.
50% of daylight
Melanopic DER 0.50. Low is easier on sleep at night; high helps you feel alert by day.
The light
Measured spectrum, 380 to 780 nm, scaled to its peak.
How colors look
The red line pulls out where colors get more vivid and pinches in where they dull. Hover a bin for its numbers.
Where it ranks
Every white-light bulb I have tested, in its own light color. Left is warmer, up renders color more truly. Tap a dot to open that bulb.

Truer color, same color temperature
No bulb I have tested near this color temperature renders color more truly. This one is the best I have measured here.

Still sold, near the same color temperature, same E26 base where one qualifies.
