That clearance means the device met the FDA’s bar as an oximeter; it does not mean it diagnoses or treats any condition, and it isn’t a substitute for a clinical sleep study.

Does the Checkme O2 Max work with OSCAR for CPAP data?

Yes, and it’s one of the best in the lineup for it. The ViHealth app exports a clean CSV that imports straight into OSCAR, so you can overlay your overnight oxygen against your CPAP data. In my testing the file was well-structured and needed no cleanup.

How long does the battery last?

About 72 hours of recording per charge, so it comfortably covers three nights before you need to top it up. It charges through the same port that connects the finger sensor.

Can I wear it on my right hand?

You can, and it works fine, but it’s designed for the left wrist, so on the right the screen reads upside down because it won’t auto-rotate. If you wear it to sleep and don’t stare at the screen, this won’t matter.

Is it accurate enough to catch sleep apnea drops?

For steady oxygen and the deep, sustained drops that matter most, yes. It tracked the Nonin within 2% for 99.7% of the night and caught the night’s low. It does log slightly fewer of the briefest desaturations than the hospital reference, so treat it as an excellent screening and tracking tool, not a replacement for a diagnostic sleep study.
